Our client, an influential patent consulting firm specializing in risk management solutions, is looking for a Global Payroll Accounting Specialist to join their finance team. This experienced individual will contribute to the success of the Finance department and is responsible for producing semi-monthly, multi-state payrolls. This person will also have accounting related responsibilities as well as working closely with Human Resources and will take an active role in the HRIS/PR system.

Responsibilities:
- Manage timely and accurate semi-monthly, multi-state and international payroll process for over 100 employees
- Analyze and verify payroll reports for accuracy and make necessary adjustments
- Serve as the point person for all payroll-related questions; resolve employee concerns
- Process data files for import/export to external benefit and 401 (k) administrators
- Participate in the monthly accounting close process, including payroll related accruals
- Ensure accurate completion of month-end payroll account reconciliations
- Ensure payroll vendor processes timely tax reporting and is compliant with state and federal regulations
- Ensure compliance related to US employees working abroad
- Improve productivity by implementing and maintaining documentation of workflow, processes and procedures
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, and/or equivalent experience in a related field required
- Minimum 5 years of progressive payroll experience with primary responsibility for time, attendance, and payroll administration and processing
- Minimum 3 years of experience supporting Finance and Accounting, including accounts payable, FP&A, general accounting
- Experience working with time and attendance, payroll, and HR systems
- Strong proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Experience with Ultimate Software’s UltiPro Workplace viewed favorably
- NetSuite experience viewed favorably
- Certified Payroll Professional designation from American Payroll Association viewed favorably
- Knowledge of gross to net payroll and general accounting principles (preferred)
- Knowledge of state and federal wage, hour, and employment laws relating to key areas of responsibility

- Ability to work with virtual, global teams
- Motivated, self-directed, and proactive – willing to take on additional projects
